Common use
Nizoral Shampoo is used to treat and prevent fungal infections of the scalp, such as dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and tinea versicolor. Its active ingredient, ketoconazole, has strong antifungal properties.

Dosage and direction
Apply the shampoo to wet scalp, leave it on for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Typically used twice a week for 2–4 weeks, then as needed for prevention.

Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin without consulting a doctor.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any other ingredient in the shampoo. Not recommended for children under 12 without medical advice.

Possible side effect
